We are looking to hire a Pipe Layer Helper to join our Dallas team!
Responsibilities:
Assist Pipe Layer and crew with installation of sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systems
Help prepare pipe routes following specifications, blueprints, and supervisor direction
Support cutting, handling, and moving pipe materials of various sizes and materials
Assist in assembling, installing, and repairing underground pipe fittings and components
Help align and position pipes during pipeline construction
Assist in checking pipe slopes using levels, lasers, or other tools
Support connecting pipe sections and sealing joints using approved methods and materials
Help measure, cut, and prepare pipe for installation
Assist in trench preparation, grading, and leveling bases using hand tools and equipment
Backfill and cover installed pipes with earth or other materials
Assist in general labor duties on the job site as needed
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all company and OSHA safety standards
Follow directions from Pipe Layer, Foreman, and Superintendent
Comply with company Employee Handbook policies and procedures
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a crew
Basic understanding of construction site safety practices
Willingness to learn pipe laying techniques and trade skills
Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
OSHA 10 preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Prior construction or general labor experience preferred, but not required

Office Roles:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Climate-controlled office environment with varying temperatures
Occasional travel to jobsites with exposure to fluctuating weather conditions
Shop & Field Roles:
Work performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, ranging from freezing temperatures to heat above 90°F, in both wet and dry conditions
Work may be performed in confined spaces
Exposure to odors, gases, dust, and dirt
Noise levels ranging from moderate to loud
Frequent lifting and carrying of 10-60 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
Frequent overhead reaching and lifting
Majority of time spent standing, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
Manual labor, including hand digging as needed
Some Saturday work required; Sundays are rarely needed
