We are looking to hire an experienced Dirt/Earthwork Foreman to join our Dallas team!
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise earthwork crews engaged in excavation, grading, site preparation, road construction, utility installation, and related heavy civil construction activities.
Communicate effectively with employees, managers, subs, HR, and all other team members.
Schedule all materials, people, equipment, etc. to complete the work on schedule.
Prioritize safety above all else by complying with OSHA and environmental safety standards.
Complete daily job site inspections and JHAs, equipment reports, confined space entry, and trenching reports.
Work independently and with fellow supervisors.
Contribute knowledge and ideas to increase productivity.
Continue learning and strengthening skills.
Mentor, train, and develop crew members to improve skills, performance, and career growth.
Foster a positive team environment focused on safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Track and submit employee time, equipment hours, and production quantities accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Previous experience as an Earthwork Foreman, Grading Foreman, Dirt Foreman, or similar leadership role in heavy civil construction.
Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, site development, utility installation, and road construction practices.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and grade information.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with crews, management, subcontractors, and clients.
Proficiency in completing daily reports, safety documentation, and production tracking.
OSHA 30 preferred.
Valid driver's license required.
Education and Experience:
Education: High school diploma or GED (preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of heavy civil construction experience, with prior supervisory or foreman experience preferred.

Office Roles:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Climate-controlled office environment with varying temperatures
Occasional travel to jobsites with exposure to fluctuating weather conditions
Shop & Field Roles:
Work performed primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions, ranging from freezing temperatures to heat above 90°F, in both wet and dry conditions
Work may be performed in confined spaces
Exposure to odors, gases, dust, and dirt
Noise levels ranging from moderate to loud
Frequent lifting and carrying of 10-60 pounds; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds
Frequent overhead reaching and lifting
Majority of time spent standing, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and reaching
Manual labor, including hand digging as needed
Some Saturday work required; Sundays are rarely needed
